Further, the production will gradually return to its regular pace starting Wednesday, July 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tom Gentile, the President and CEO of Spirit AeroSystems, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome. He emphasized the company&#8217;s dedication to addressing employee feedback. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stated, &#8220;We listened closely to our employees and brought forward a fair-and-competitive offer. With its approval by our IAM-represented employees, we look forward to returning to the important work of delivering quality products to our customers.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spirit AeroSystems will maintain close coordination with its suppliers and customers throughout the production restart process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This collaborative approach ensures a smooth transition back to full-scale production. Further, a $7,500 ratification bonus and improvements to paid time off and job security. In addition to rejecting the proposal, the IAM local members also voted to authorize a strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Expressing disappointment in the outcome of the vote, Tom Gentile, President &amp; CEO of Spirit AeroSystems, stated that the company has been in continued discussions with IAM representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gentile emphasized that the company\u2019s focus has always been on providing a fair and competitive contract to its IAM-represented employees. He expressed a commitment to reaching an agreement with Local 839 as quickly as possible for the benefit of the employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gentile expressed his pride in Spirit employees and their role in shaping the company\u2019s future.
