TEXAS-<\/strong> American Airlines Group’s<\/a> regional carrier, Envoy Air (MQ), is set to enhance its fleet by incorporating five more Embraer E170s following the airline’s recent agreement with Embraer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, American Airlines Group has also finalized a deal to acquire seven new Embraer E175s, which Envoy Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Airlines (AA), will operate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Envoy Air Adds E170s<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Envoy Air’s Senior Vice President of Air Operations, Dee Temples, expressed enthusiasm about the new additions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stated, “These twelve Embraer E-Jets are a welcome addition to our fleet. Our team is dedicated to operational excellence and safely delivering for the thousands of customers we serve every day. Fleet additions such as these would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our employees all across the Company.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This latest development follows American Airlines Group’s previous allocation of six additional E175 aircraft to Envoy Air in March, bringing their total fleet commitments to an impressive 107 E175s and 27 E170s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the airline had previously placed a firm order for three new E175s to be operated by Envoy Air, projecting a fleet growth of over 100 aircraft by the end of 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Successful Transition to E170 Family<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Last month marked a significant milestone for the American subsidiary as Envoy Air completed its transition from the ERJ145 to the E170 family jet. The airline bid farewell to the ERJ145, concluding 25 years of exceptional service with the aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Orders for Embraer E175s<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

American Airlines (AA) has finalized a firm order for seven brand-new Embraer<\/a> E175s. Further solidifying their ongoing partnership with the Brazilian aerospace company at Paris Air Show 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

America\u2019s wholly-owned subsidiary, Envoy Air, will operate these state-of-the-art planes. With deliveries scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, Envoy Air\u2019s E-Jet fleet will surpass 141 aircraft by the end of 2024. Subsequently, the contract, valued at $403.4 million at list price, will contribute to Embraer\u2019s 2023 second-quarter backlog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its introduction to North America in 2005, the E175 has risen to prominence due to its exceptional comfort, high performance, and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
