TEXAS-<\/strong> United States based NS Aviation has acquired an 85% majority stake in TruJet (2T)<\/a>, a Hyderabad-based budget airline that ceased operations in 2022 due to financial difficulties, to relaunch it as NS Airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to NS Aviation’s Vice Chairman, Isha Ali, the deal is valued at approximately Rs 450 crore and is expected to be finalized soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NS Airline India<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

NS Aviation has ambitious plans for its operations in India, including the induction of 100 Airbus A320 Neo aircraft. Initially, the focus will be on domestic flights connecting major metro cities such as Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the company aims to expand to international routes, this expansion will occur gradually over the next 18 months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NS Aviation intends to strengthen its presence in India before venturing into international operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isha Ali stated, “By the end of this year, we plan to operate flights to Tier-II and III cities, and within the next one-and-a-half years, we aim to serve international destinations.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are preparing to introduce a fleet of twenty-five Airbus 320 aircraft in India. These advanced aircraft represent the next phase in the continuous evolution of Indian aviation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They offer a safe, comfortable, and efficient flying experience with cutting-edge technology and fuel-efficient engines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These aircraft are particularly well-suited for short to medium-haul flights, which aligns perfectly with the demands of Indian aviation. Additionally, we intend to incorporate ten Airbus aircraft specifically for international cargo operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Mohammed Ali – Chairman: As an industry veteran with over 17 years of experience in aviation, Dr. Mohammed Ali serves as the Chairman of our company. In 2001, he played a pivotal role as one of the founding partners of an international airline, which he later divested in 2017. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Dr. Ali is a globally recognized Cardiothoracic surgeon hailing from Philadelphia, USA. Alongside his aviation expertise, he has been an astute global investor since the 1990s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Isha Ali – Vice Chairman: Mrs. Isha Ali, our esteemed Vice Chairman, is an enterprising individual who gained immense acclaim for establishing a life-saving medical oxygen manufacturing unit during the pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has a strong academic background in Computer Engineering (Bachelor’s degree) and Quantitative Finance (Master’s degree) from the USA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strong Plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

NS Aviation plans to augment its fleet with ten additional Airbus aircraft to support its international cargo operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline is preparing to commence operations as early as October. Subsequently, offering competitive pricing, attractive deals, and complimentary meals to entice passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While IndiGo, the largest airline in India in terms of market share, made a remarkable order for 500 Airbus aircraft on June 19, the Indian aviation sector is facing its share of challenges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Budget carrier Go First (G8) filed for bankruptcy in May. Subsequently, attributed its financial woes to faulty Pratt and Whitney engines, which grounded half of its fleet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rival airline SpiceJet (SG) is also entangled in litigation concerning the payment of dues in one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
