MELBOURNE-<\/strong> Australian flag carrier Qantas (QF) flight operating Boeing 787 from Melbourne (MEL) to Los Angeles (LAX) has declared an emergency. Further, it is diverted to Nadi International Airport (NAN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Qantas QF93 is the daily flight from MEL to LAX. Further, it uses it’s state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Airbus A380 to serve this high-density route. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qantas flight Declares Emergency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24, the Qantas QF93 took off from MEL at 10:59 AM UTC. Shortly after takeoff, the flight Squawk 7700 meant a general emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight is currently over the south pacific ocean. Subsequently, it is diverted to Nadi Airport (NAN) in Fiji. The exact reason for the emergency is unknown; we will update you once we have more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we are writing, the flight is en route to NAN and is expected to land shortly. Further, it is the most tracked flight on Flight Radar 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is Qantas Boeing 787-9, registered as VH-ZNM. Further, it is a 2.8-year-old aircraft; QF took delivery of it recently this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UPDATE 1: The flight has again airborne. The aircraft took off from NAN at 4:15 PM UTC. Further, flight QF93 is expected to land at LAX after almost 14 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Virgin Atlantic London Washington Flight Emergency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24, the flight tracking website, the Virgin Atlantic flight VS21 took off from Heathrow (LHR) at 6:19 PM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is expected to land at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) after being airborne for almost seven hours. Further covering the approximately 6,000 km distance between the two important cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The VS Airbus A330 is seen returning back to London and is expected to land shortly. The aircraft returned to LHR due to high engine vibrations leading to engine problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is Airbus A330-343 G-VKSS. Further, it is 12 years and a four-month-old airliner, VS, delivered it in February 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
