NEW YORK-<\/strong> The flag carrier of Turkey, Turkish Airlines (TK) flight from Istanbul (IST) to New York (JFK), made an emergency landing at Budapest (BUD) as an 11-year-old child died on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight is operated by Turkish Airlines using Airbus A330. Further, according to the news agency MTI, the medical services were unable to revive the child after the plane made an emergency landing in Budapest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turkish Emergency Landing in Budapest<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24, Turkish Airlines flight TK3 took off from Istanbul (IST) at 5:56 AM UTC. After takeoff, the 11-year-old child become unconscious; following this pilot decided to divert to Budapest (BUD). Subsequently, at around 7:25 AM UTC, the plane landed at BUD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to MTI, the Airport Medical Service dispatched to the scene immediately after flight TK003 landed in Budapest on Sunday. Despite receiving prompt medical attention, the child could not be saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is a Turkish Airbus A330-303 having registration TC-JOA. Further, it is a nine-year-old aircraft that TK took delivery of back in March 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight TK3 then took again from BUD at 10:59 AM UTC, after two hours and 30 minutes. The Turkish TK3 is currently airborne and is expected to land in New York (JFK) at 3: 19 PM Local time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time of writing this article, the plane crossed Ireland and is now above the Atlantic Ocean. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight en route from\u00a0Los Angeles International Airport\u00a0(LAX) to\u00a0Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport\u00a0(ATL) was when three flight attendants felt ill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pilots made the decision to turn around \u201cout of an abundance of caution due to an onboard medical issue<\/a>.\u201d Passenger Emmy Kelly revealed to Fox News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Fox News, the chief flight attendant was among the few who began to have breathing problems; at one point, they were wearing an oxygen mask. Further, the nine passengers said they felt dizzy, and the three flight attendants felt ill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stranded passengers were deplaned and made to spend the night in a hotel in Oklahoma City since many crew members were out of commission owing to unexplained illnesses and were taken to a nearby hospital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, maintenance gave the go-ahead for the flight to take off once more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
