AHMEDABAD- <\/strong>As a result of adverse weather conditions, an IndiGo (6E) Airlines flight traveling from Amritsar to Ahmedabad deviated into Pakistan airspace near Lahore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It proceeded to Gujranwala before returning to Indian airspace at approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday, as reported by Dawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo Flight Enters Pakistan Airspace<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to flight radar data, the Indian aircraft entered north of Lahore at around 7:30 p.m. with a ground speed of 454 knots, and it reentered India at 8:01 p.m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Dawn’s report, a senior official from the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) mentioned that such deviations were not uncommon during inclement weather and were permitted internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, numerous flights experienced diversions and delays. Due to reduced visibility at airports following an alert issued by the CAA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per the CAA spokesperson, the weather warning for Lahore was extended until 11:30 PM. According to Dawn’s report, the visibility at Allama Iqbal International Airport is recorded at 5,000 meters on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to limited visibility, several flights destined for Lahore were redirected to Islamabad. Further, a PIA flight from Abu Dhabi to Islamabad was diverted to Multan, and a Jeddah-Lahore flight was redirected to Multan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, Dawn reported delays in PIA flights from Lahore to Madina. Further in Karachi to Lahore and Etihad flights from Lahore to Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo Engine Snag<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, the IndiGo (6E) Airline flight operating Airbus A321neo from Delhi (DEL) to Chennai (MAA) experienced Engine problems and forced to divert back to DEL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the source, 230 people, including passengers and crew, are onboard the A321neo. Further, the aircraft returned safely to DEL within one hour of taking off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24, the IndiGo flight 6E2789 took off from Indira Gandhi Int\u2019l Airport (DEL) at 10:06 PM IST (4:36 PM UTC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly after takeoff, the pilot experienced problems with the engine and decided to return back to DEL. Subsequently, they contacted the DEL Air Traffic Controller and asked for an emergency landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An alternative aircraft has been provided to ensure the passengers\u2019 continued travel. Indigo Airlines expresses regret for any inconvenience caused to the passengers, as stated in their official statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
