Subsequently, the focus is on catering to various types of aircraft, including small, narrow-body, and wide-body airplanes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An FMS (Flight Management System) is a computer system specialized in automating various tasks during a flight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its functionality includes displaying a flight plan that provides pilots with essential information. These activities take place at multiple labs operated by the company in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honeywell is currently engaged in designing and developing comprehensive avionics systems for the E1 and E2. Further, these are medium-range twinjet airliners manufactured by<a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=+Embraer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Embraer<\/a>, a Brazilian aircraft manufacturer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These avionics systems are being built on Honeywell&#8217;s Epic Cockpit platform, known as Primus Epic 2.0. Mr. Kalyandurg shared this information in an interview with <em>The Hindu.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aerospace is a significant focus area for Honeywell, and out of the company&#8217;s total global revenue of $34.5 billion in 2022, the aerospace sector contributed $11.9 billion. Niranjan Kalyandurg, Vice-President and Aero India Leader at Honeywell Technology Solutions shared these details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of the lab, which will be part of Honeywell&#8217;s presence in Madurai, is expected to take place in either August or September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary objectives of the facility include verifying and validating Honeywell&#8217;s developed algorithms, technologies, and solutions, facilitating the use of the lab by the ecosystem, particularly students from universities who can gain hands-on experience with unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and advanced air mobility systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the lab will serve as a platform to showcase various technologies and products related to UAS and advanced air mobility to customers in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay tuned with us.
