After a “mentally ill” man faked a bomb scare, passengers from a Qatar Airways (QR) flight were evacuated from the aircraft at the airport in Kolkata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, all passengers were evacuated from a plane when a man began shouting that there was a bomb in the cabin just before takeoff, according to airport sources on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to airport reports, the incident happened just as a Qatar Airways flight via Doha was due to take off for London at around 3.39 a.m. As one of the passengers began yelling loudly, The person claimed the aircraft has the bomb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qatar Airways London-bound flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 531 people on board the flight were evacuated due to his panic warning. Further, the security personnel on duty at the airport thoroughly searched the aircraft. However, no bombs or explosives were found as a result of the search effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passenger who raised the bomb warning was first arrested by the security personnel stationed at the airport. He afterwards turned over to the police at the neighbourhood police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concerned passenger said that he had heard about the bomb’s presence on the plane from someone else when he was questioned. A psychosis-related condition, such as schizophrenia, is what the police think the passenger is experiencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A call from the man’s father, who was being detained, was received by the airport police station. His son was having therapy for a mental condition. According to certain medical data the father gave the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
