LONDON- <\/strong>The UK Flag carrier British Airways (BA)<\/a> flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to London Heathrow (LHR) has declared an emergency. Further, the airline is operating Boeing<\/a> 777 between this route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24<\/em>, the flight tracking website, the British Airways flight BA268 has been showing the squawk 7700, which means an emergency situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the reason for the emergency is not yet clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

British Airways LAX-LHR Flight Declares Emergency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The BA268 flight took off from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) at 4:12 AM UTC. Further, the aircraft is airborne for almost 10 hours and covers a distance of 8780 KM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequently, the Flight will land at Heathrow International Airport (LHR) in London at around 3:20 PM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is Boeing 777-300 ER, registered G-STBJ. The London-based carrier took the delivery of G-STBJ back in March 2014, and is now 9.6 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BA Stockholm London Diversion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24, British Airways flight BA783 operating the Airbus<\/a> A320neo has registration G-TTNR diverted on 28 May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft took off from Sweden at 8:43 PM UTC. Subsequently, after being airborne for approximately two hours and covering a distance of 1468 kilometers, it diverted to LGW. Further, the aircraft made a touchdown at Gatwick Airport at 10:51 pm UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is A320neo G-TTNR, and it is only two years old. Further, the BA took the delivery of it from Toulouse in Aug 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
