Raja Bhoj Airport, the only airport in the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, is getting ready for 24-hour flight service. Many new-generation technologies are now being implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first of October will open a brand-new, 32-meter-tall air traffic control (ATC) tower. Ramji Awasthi, the director of Raja Bhoj Airport, claims that it will be Madhya Pradesh’s tallest ATC tower, covering the entire length of the runway and meeting the demand for more modern amenities and the ability to handle more planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to organizing and accelerating the flow of air traffic, the ATC’s primary goals are to prevent collisions, give pilots information and other forms of assistance, and prevent accidents altogether.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new air traffic control tower, which features cutting-edge technology and support buildings, including a fire station and cargo complex, will be operational as of October 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Madhya Pradesh, it’ll be the tallest ATC tower. Having a 360-degree view of the airport and the operational area will be possible for air traffic controllers. According to Awasthi, the airport in Indore has an ATC tower that is 27 meters tall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stated that the Airport Authority of India (AAI) had approved the operation of flights every day of the week. The Centre has been handed a plan for the deployment of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and it is hoped that it will be approved soon. The deployment of the CISF will improve security at the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By making Bhopal a base station, airlines will be encouraged to use it. At airports with round-the-clock flying operations, nighttime parking facilities for aircraft are also made. Before this change, flight movement began at 8 a.m. instead of 6 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robust Expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Raja Bhoj Airport offers flight services in two shifts from 6 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. According to Awasthi, once the new ATC tower is operational and the CISF is deployed, the services for unauthorized and night flights will begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will no longer be any time restrictions for the airlines. It is anticipated that businesses will prioritize turning Bhopal into a base station as a result of this decision. The Bhopal airport now has a base for 17 aircraft, including four in the older part of the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to these measures, Bhopal Airport is preparing to guarantee uninterrupted flight operations even in inclement weather. ILS CAT-II, a more advanced version of the Instrument Landing System, would be made available at Raja Bhoj Airport as a result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of right now, the airport has an ILS CAT-I facility. Regular travelers and aviation experts have been calling for an ILS CAT-II facility. To enable safe landing in low visibility, the CAT-I facility was constructed in 2013, and the runway’s glide path was moved from 45 feet to 50 feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
