DELHI- <\/strong>According to Joy Sengupta’s report, over 150 passengers<\/strong> aboard the Tata-owned Indian FSC Air India (AI)<\/a> Pune-Delhi flight experienced an unusual journey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially bound for the national capital, the flight hovered over Delhi and Jaipur before eventually landing in Gwalior early Friday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passengers then spent three hours on the aircraft before continuing their journey to Delhi by road. Finally, after approximately 24 hours, they reached their intended destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Passengers Pune to Delhi 24-Hour Journey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Muqaddas Ansari, a passenger who arrived in Delhi around 6 pm on Friday, the Air India flight (AI-850) was scheduled to depart from Pune at 6:50 pm and reach Delhi by 9:05 pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, during the approach to Delhi, the situation became chaotic. Further, the flight captain announced they could not land in Delhi due to adverse weather conditions. Subsequently, the pilot said that the flight would be diverted to Jaipur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ansari said the flight eventually reached the Gwalior airport at approximately 12:30 am. Upon reaching the terminal building, passengers were given two options: stay in hotels or travel to Delhi by road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight Details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24, the incident occurred on May 25, 2023. Further, Air India flight AI850<\/strong> took off from Pune Airport (PNQ) at 7:07 Pm IST. After being airborne for almost four hours, the flight diverted to Gwalior Airport (GWL) at 11 pm IST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is Airbus<\/a> A320. Further, it has the registration VT-EDE<\/strong>. The next day, Air India ferried the plane and operated the flight as AIC850D. The aircraft is back into business and is operating domestically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to poor weather conditions and heavy winds at Delhi Airport, several other flights were impacted. Many flights were diverted to alternative airports, while some were canceled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
