MUMBAI-<\/strong> India’s largest carrier, IndiGo (6E)<\/a> Airlines’ first Boeing<\/a> 777 painted in 6E livery landed at Delhi Airport on 28 May 2023 (Today). Further, the aircraft is taken on a wet lease from Turkish Airlines (TK)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The induction of the new Boeing 777 will help strengthen the codeshare partnership between IndiGo and Turkish Airlines. Further, this is the third Boeing 777 added to the 6E fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Indian carrier only operates the Airbus<\/a> and ATR<\/a> fleet. However, following the strong demand and codeshare with TK forced the carrier to deploy the wide-body airliner on this route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo livery painted Boeing 777 lands at Delhi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24<\/a><\/em>, the flight tracking website, the IndiGo Airlines Boeing 777-300ER took off from Istanbul Airport (IST) at 1:46 Am. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After being airborne for five hours and 30 minutes and covering a distance of 4,525 Km, it landed at Delhi Airport (DEL) at 9:44 Am (All times are based on Local timezone).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delivery flight by Turkish Airlines operated as the TK4912. Subsequently, you can also track it as 6E4912, as both have the codeshare agreement. Furthermore, the Boeing 777-300ER has the registration TC-LKD and will not include the Indian VT- code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the latest Boeing 777 delivery, the IndiGo airline now has a more than 310 aircraft fleet. Subsequently, it includes 39 ATRs, 185 A320s, 86 A321s, and Three Boeing 777s on wet lease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Turkish Technic has shared the painting pics of 6E\u2019s latest Boeing 777. Turkish Technic also tweeted more information about the upcoming widebody airliner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft having registration TC-LKD is currently in the Turkish Technik paint shop. It is getting painted in the original livery of Indigo. Subsequently, this will be the first time that the airline will have a Boeing plane painted in its Blue livery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TC-LKD, according to planespotters.net,<\/em> belongs to Azur Air (ZF) as VQ-BZC; the aircraft has been in storage at Istanbul Airport since 1 November 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft will have the configuration same as Azur Air (ZF). It will have 7 Business and 524 Economy seats. Currently, the aircraft belongs to Turkish Airlines, and it is providing that to 6E on a wet lease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today indigo operates a fleet of more than 300 aircraft, with close to 500 aircraft on order. 6E serves more than 100 destinations, with 76 being domestic and 26 international destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It operates close to 1800 daily flights and has approximately 56% of the total market share of passengers flown in India. It is also Asia\u2019s leading LCC and has won various awards for its services and punctuality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
