During a flight from San Francisco to Bengaluru, a 69-year-old woman passed away midair while traveling with her son on Air India (AI)<\/a> Airlines’ longest direct flight, AI 176. Sources at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an official from Air India at the airport, a medical emergency occurred on Wednesday at around 11 PM during the flight, and despite the crew providing all possible assistance, the passenger passed away onboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Woman Dies on Air India Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Airport sources state that the pilots had informed the airport authorities before the flight landed at approximately 7:30 am on Thursday. The woman’s body was then transported via an ambulance to the airport hospital, where it was later transferred to a government hospital for an autopsy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to sources, the woman had experienced discomfort during the flight, and it is suspected that she passed away due to natural causes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During an Air India (AI)<\/a> flight from Nagpur to Mumbai, a scorpion stung a passenger. Furthermore, Air India has confirmed the occurrence of the incident that happened on April 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tata-owned Air India stated that the affected passenger received treatment and has now recovered from the sting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although instances of live birds and rats being found on board have been reported. A scorpion sting on an Air India flight is rare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India spokesperson said, \u201cThere was an extremely rare and unfortunate incident involving a scorpion stinging a passenger on board our flight AI 630 on April 23, 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After receiving information about the scorpion sting incident. Air India\u2019s engineering team thoroughly inspected the aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur team adhered to the protocol and thoroughly checked the aircraft. The Scorpion was found during the inspection. We immediately performed a fumigation process. We regret the discomfort and inconvenience caused to the passenger,\u201d stated Air India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
