MUMBAI- <\/strong>Indian FSC Vistara (UK) Airlines<\/a> sends its first Boeing<\/a> 787-9 Dreamliner to Singapore for the first heavy maintenance check call C-check. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

TATA SIA Joint Ventured Airline took the delivery of its first Dreamliner in Feb 2020. Further, the aircraft is powered by two General Electric GEnX engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the first time that the airline has sent its aircraft for C-check. The carrier currently has a fleet of four Boeing 787-9 aircraft. While three are still on orders and will join the fleet at the end of 2023 and in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24<\/em>, the flight tracking website, the plane took off from Delhi Airport (DEL) at 3:21 AM in the night on May 7, 2023. Subsequently, after being airborne for almost 5 hours and covering a distance of 4,152 Km, it landed in Singapore. The plane touchdown at Singapore Airport (SIN) at 10:57 Am IST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the source, the plane will undergo C-check at Singapore MRO maintenance facilities (probably at Singapore Aero Services MRO). Furthermore, the Boeing 787-9 will remain grounded for almost a week and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After completion of maintenance, the plane will ferry back to India and will enter into the service. Further, the Vistara will deploy it on 5 times weekly flights between Mumbai Airport (BOM) and Heathrow Airport (LHR), London. The airline will start the service between BOM-LHR from June 1, 2023, onwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vistara New Aircraft Flight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The TATA SIA Joint Ventured Vistara (UK) operated the first flight for its fourth Boeing 787<\/a>. The Dreamliner has the registration VT-TSP, the fourth aircraft of the Vistara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline deployed VT-TSP on Delhi (DEL) to the Bengaluru Airport (BLR) route. Earlier, the Tata-owned carrier operated its first Airbus A321LR on the same route when it entered the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Indian carrier took the delivery of VT-TSP on the 30th of last month this year. Furthermore, Vistara collaborated with Boeing and GE Aerospace to operate India\u2019s first SAF flight using SAF on their recently acquired Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It used a mixture of 17% SAF and 83% conventional jet fuel for this flight. The special flight resulted in a reduction of approximately 10,000 pounds of CO\u2082 emissions. Vistara\u2019s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and supporting a sustainable future for the aviation industry is evident in this pioneering initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It used a blend of 30% SAF and 70% conventional jet fuel, reducing approximately 150,000 pounds of CO2 emissions over the fuel\u2019s life cycle. Subsequently, this move aligns with Vistara\u2019s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint. Further, promote a sustainable future for the aviation industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
