During an Air India (AI)<\/a> flight from Nagpur to Mumbai, a scorpion stung a passenger. Furthermore, Air India has confirmed the occurrence of the incident that happened on April 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tata-owned Air India stated that the affected passenger received treatment and has now recovered from the sting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India passenger stung by Scorpion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although instances of live birds and rats being found on board have been reported, a scorpion sting on an Air India flight is rare. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India spokesperson said, “There was an extremely rare and unfortunate incident involving a scorpion stinging a passenger on board our flight AI 630 on April 23, 2023.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon landing, the female passenger was immediately given medical treatment and taken to the hospital. The airline’s officials accompanied her to the hospital and offered support until she was discharged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After receiving information about the scorpion sting incident, Air India’s engineering team thoroughly inspected the aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our team adhered to the protocol and thoroughly checked the aircraft. The Scorpion was found during the inspection, and we immediately performed a fumigation process. We regret the discomfort and inconvenience caused to the passenger,” stated Air India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Flight Hydraulic Failure Incident<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24<\/em>, the plane took off from Bengaluru Airport (BLR) at 7:20 PM. The pilot noticed the hydraulic system failure and followed the necessary operational procedures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further notified Mumbai Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower about the situation. Following this, ten mins of confession were expected at the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plane landed on time on a priority basis at Mumbai Airport (BOM) at around 8:45 PM. However, the actual time of arrival was 9:20 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plane involved in the incident was Airbus A321-211, with VT-PPW registration. According to Planespotters.net<\/em>, the fleet tracking and images website, the aircraft is 13 years old and was delivered to Air India in Jan 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
