Passengers on a Tata Air India (AI) flight bound for Kathmandu had a close call at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) as the aircraft took off from Delhi, and the pilots had to abort the landing due to an unstable approach at the airport, the incident reported to DGCA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident has been reported in detail to India’s aviation watchdog, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to ANI<\/em>, the DGCA stated that the go-around was due to an unestablished approach. ANI<\/em> sources reported that following the unstable approach at Kathmandu airport, the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) instructed the AI pilot to perform a go-around. The flight landed safely after 20 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is Airbus A320. It is possibly the Air India AI211 flight from Delhi International Airport (DEL) to Kathmandu Airport (TIA). Furthermore, the aircraft has the registration VT-EXC and is regularly operated on domestic routes, according to Flight Radar 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An official from Air India stated that flight AI346<\/strong> to Singapore was diverted to Malaysia. Following the bad weather conditions and congestion in Singapore. Subsequently, the flight departed for Singapore after the weather improved and flight operations resumed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar 24, the Air India flight AI346 from Chennai to Singapore diverted to Malaysia. The aircraft is identified as Airbus A320neo and has the registration VT-CIN. Furthermore, the aircraft is 5-year-old aircraft taken on lease by the airline in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plane took off from Chennai Airport (MAA) at 5:50 AM and diverted to Malaysia\u2019s Johor Bahu Airport (JHB) at 1:49 PM UTC. Subsequently, the plane took off from JHB at 1:56 PM and landed safely at Singapore\u2019s Changi Airport (SIN) at 2:17 PM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
