The Indian full-service carrier (FSC), Air India (AI), has taken the delivery of another Boeing 777 that earlier belonged to Delta Air Lines. Furthermore, the aircraft has the registration VT-AEE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Boeing 777 went for cabin and other necessary modifications in Singapore in Feb of this year. Subsequently, today it made its flight from Singapore to Delhi and will now fly with the Air India fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Boeing 777 VT-AEE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to flight radar 24, the Air India Boeing 777-200LR, operated as AI1111 took off from Singapore’s Changi Airport (SIN) at 5:11 AM. It was airborne for almost 5 hours and 20 mins and covered a distance of 4,152 Km. Finally, it landed at Delhi Int’l Airport (DEL) at 10:55 AM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plane is currently parked at Delhi Airport. Air India is likely to deploy it on Ultra long haul routes such as Mumbai to San Fransisco and Bengaluru- San Fransico routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plane was earlier registered as N704DK and was part of Delta’s (DL) fleet for almost 11 years. Then it was used by Mammoth Freighters and Jetran, respectively, and is now taken on lease by Air India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tata-owned airline has a fleet of close to 120 aircraft. This includes 20 Boeing 777, of which 13 are 777-300ER and 7 are 777-200LR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Aircraft Update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

So far, Airbus has transferred four A350 registration from Aeroflot (SU) to Air India<\/strong>. While remaining will be added shortly to the Indian carrier. Furthermore, this A350s Manufacturer\u2019s Serial Number (MSN) is MSN 554, 558, 585, and most recently added, MSN 589.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has secured a lease of six ex-Etihad (EY) Boeing 777-300ER<\/strong>. It is in the United States and will be ready for delivery in the coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four of the six ex-Etihad Boeing 777s are currently at Victorville Airport, USA. The MSN number of these planes are MSN 39687; MSN 39700; MSN 39689; and MSN 39690. Furthermore, the Indian FSC is in the stage of receiving its first B777-300ER, which bears MSN 39686.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
