A single-engine plane with a pilot and six passengers on board crashed into the Indian Ocean after it overshot the runway in Australia.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fortunately, none of those travelling in the Gippsland GA8 Airvan were injured in the incident at around 8.40am on April 6, 2023.   According to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB<\/a><\/strong>) the aircraft \u201clanded long\u201d on the runway located on Rat Island, off the coast of Western Australia<\/a><\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GA8 Airvan did indeed leave the runway and “came to rest in the water,” causing “substantial damage” to the aircraft, according to officials. There were “number” of youngsters aboard the flight, according to ABC Midwest and Wheatbelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) chief commissioner Angus Mitchell, an investigation into a runway excursion involving a single-engine passenger aircraft on Thursday morning at Rat Island, Western Australia, has been launched by the agency. The aircraft was carrying a pilot and six passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
