According to an official reported, a total of 22 flights were diverted from the Delhi International airport<\/a> LTD on Thursday night because of the bad weather in the nation’s capital.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These flights were sent to Lucknow, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Dehradun, among other cities. A spokesperson for the airport claimed that 11 aircraft were diverted to Lucknow, 8 to Jaipur, and 1 to each of Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Dehradun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In regards to the delays and diversions, airlines have already sent passengers a travel warning. On Thursday evening, the nation’s capital was hit by clouds and rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India Meteorological Department<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, the India Meteorological Department <\/a><\/strong>(IMD) issued the following forecast for the Northwest of India: “Scattered to widespread rainfall\/thunderstorm, lightning\/gusty winds are very likely over the region from March 30 to April 1.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 30-31, a solitary thunderstorm passed over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and East Rajasthan; on March 30, it passed over West Rajasthan; and on March 31, it passed over Uttar Pradesh. On March 31, the Met reported isolated heavy rains over the northwest Indian states of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

While in East India, the period from March 31 to April 2 was very likely to see sporadic to extensive rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. On March 31, there may be a few isolated hailstorms over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted that from March 30 to April 3, there would likely be scattered to pervasive light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over Northeast India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
