MUMBAI – <\/strong>Saudi Arabia’s two airlines, Saudia and Riyadh Air, has signed a deal with Boeing for up to 121 787 Dreamliner. Boeing shared the report confirming the orders. Also, the white house congratulated Boeing for the deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

White House Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre congratulated Boeing for the deal. He further stated the deal is worth 37 Billion US Dollars<\/strong> and includes firm and optional orders of 121 aircraft. Boeing has closed the largest historic deals in a matter of a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today’s deal is the fifth largest in the history of Boeing’s Commercial airplanes company. The deal will support Saudi Arabia’s goal of serving 330 million passengers and attracting 100 million visitors annually by 2030.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A statement stated, “This partnership is another milestone in eight decades of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and American industry.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAUDIA Orders 49 Boeing 787 Dreamliner<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, Saudia (SV), has placed an order for a 49 Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The deal includes firm orders for 39 Boeing 787-9 and 787-10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 His Excellency Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of SAUDIA Group, stated, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“SAUDIA continues its expansion efforts in all aspects of the airline; whether it’s introducing new destinations or increasing the aircraft fleet,”<\/p>\nHis Excellency Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of SAUDIA Group<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

He further added that “The agreement with Boeing delivers on this commitment, and the newly added aircraft will further enable SAUDIA to fulfill its strategic objective of bringing the world to the Kingdom.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It currently utilizes more than 50 Boeing airplanes on its long-haul routes, including the 777-300ER (Extended Range) and 787-9, and 787-10 Dreamliner. The further 787s complement SAUDIA’s existing fleet, allowing it to harness the importance of the 777 and 787 families effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stan Deal, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said, “Adding to its 787 Dreamliner fleet will enable SAUDIA to expand its long-haul service with outstanding range, capacity, and efficiency.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“After more than 75 years of partnership, we are honored by SAUDIA’s confidence in Boeing products and will continue to support Saudi Arabia’s goal to expand sustainable air travel,” added Mr.stan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riyadh Air Orders 72 Boeing 787<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another Saudi Arabia based, Riyadh Air, which is a recently launched carrier, announced the deal to purchase 72 Boeing 787 Dreamliners<\/a>. The deal will include the 39 highly efficient 787-9s firm orders, with options for an additional 33 787-9s<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riyadh Air will play a vital role in growing Saudi Arabia’s air transportation grid. The Boeing 787-9 has the longest range compared to other 787 families of airplanes. It has the ability to fly about 300 passengers and has a range of 7,565 nautical miles (14,010 km), with additional cargo capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
