A passenger aboard a plane was hurt and later passed away after it was hit by severe turbulence<\/strong>. The private plane, a Bombardier Challenger 300<\/strong>, was carrying five people from Keene, New Hampshire, to Leesburg, Virginia, according to National Transportation Safety Board <\/strong>(NTSB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident caused the plane to divert to Bradley International Airport in Connecticut, Boston Globe reported. The outlet further said that the police responded to a call for medical assistance at the airport around 3.40pm and transported one passenger to the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sarah Taylor Sulick<\/strong>, a spokesperson for the National Transportation Safety Board, told the Globe that she had no information on what happened to the passenger or if anyone else was injured.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Transportation Safety Board’s Sarah Taylor Sulick<\/strong> told the Boston Globe that she was unaware of the circumstances surrounding the passenger’s disappearance or whether any other people were hurt.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The jet is owned by Conexon, a Missouri-based firm. The company seeks to bring high-speed internet to rural locations. It has not yet responded to the incident.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>According to the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) database<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

FlightAware<\/strong>, which analyses live flight data, reported that the plane took off from Keene airport at 3.55pm and landed at Bradley airport 20 minutes later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the New York Post, the NTSB has taken the cockpit voice and data recorders (black boxes) to investigate onboard the flight, as well as interrogating two crew members and the remaining passengers.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A preliminary assessment will be released in two to three weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
