Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran announced <\/strong>on Friday that Air India SATS will establish an integrated multimodal freight hub at the future Jewar airport<\/strong> in Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with Zurich Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ground handling services division of Air India is called Air India SATS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In his speech at the UP Global Investors Summit<\/strong>, he stated that the company intends to connect every portion of UP to the rest of India and, potentially, to significant global locations.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am pleased to announce that we would develop an integrated multimodal air cargo through Air India SATS with our partner Zurich Airport in the new Jewar airport.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>Chandrasekaran added<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

According to Chandrasekaran, “The group’s hotel operation sees huge prospects in the state because of the tourism that’s going to arrive, both religious tourism as well as wildlife and other factors that draw travellers.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He continued, “Air India has a clear plan to connect every area of UP to the rest of India and possibly to significant international locations.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to TCS, he said that the Tata Group already has a large footprint in UP through its steel, automotive, retail, banking, and power companies.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the Tata Group has 18 enterprises with a significant presence in Uttar Pradesh, where 50,000 people work.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Across all of our businesses in the state, we are on a massive expansion\u2026 We have already made significant investments in Noida from the perspectives of TCS and Air India,”<\/em> Without going into specifics, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Chandrasekaran stated that Uttar Pradesh is “extremely well positioned” <\/strong>to grow into a “trillion-dollar economy” <\/strong>when India reaches $5 trillion in GDP and again into a $2 trillion economy by the time India reaches $10 trillion in GDP.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasised industries with enormous potential to support the state’s expansion, including industry, agriculture, and tourism.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
