Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde<\/strong>, who travelled to Davos<\/strong> for the five-day World Economic Forum 2023, signed an MoU with Berkshire Hathaway<\/strong> Home Services Orenda India to develop a 1,000-acre smart city close to the Navi Mumbai airport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Berkshire Hathaway joins hands with Maharastra govt <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The partnership’s objective is to create a 1,000-acre, close-by smart city with a social and physical infrastructure for Navi Mumbai International Airport.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As part of this agreement, the firm will help develop a complete ecosystem for industrial, commercial, and residential development.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>The company said in a formal statement<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

“The government will provide access to land as well as assistance in obtaining various permits and licences.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It goes on to say that the partnership, a joint venture between the state government and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority<\/strong> (MMRDA), will make it easier to develop industrial clusters, warehousing and distribution hubs, entertainment hubs, data centres, and information technology parks for IT\/ITES\/BPO\/KPO services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The business will also create a knowledge management system that will help organise promotional roadshows and conferences, share best operational practises, and provide information on industry trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company will be in charge of making use of its network and luring business service delegations to contribute to this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government’s efforts to build cutting-edge facilities that will support Navi Mumbai’s aspirations to become an economically independent city are something we are proud to support, he continued. “Navi Mumbai is becoming a key cog in Maharashtra’s success story,”<\/strong><\/em> he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
