The airline currently offers a one-stop service via Chennai connecting the South Indian city of Thiruvananthapuram with Kolkata in East India, greatly reducing travel time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thiruvananthapuram in the southern Indian state of Kerala is now connected to Kolkata by IndiGo <\/a><\/strong>through Chennai. The departure time for flight 6E6169 is 13:40, and the arrival time is 15:05 in Chennai. It stops there for 45 minutes before leaving for Kolkata at 15:50. It will arrive in Kolkata around 18:00 local time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before this, anyone traveling between the 2 cities had to fly for more than seven hours on average, but this has now been reduced to four and a half hours. With demand in this sector seemingly strong, a direct flight service in the future could not be ruled out as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo launched <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo <\/a><\/strong>is a leading company in spotting demand gaps and launching flights to fill them. As a result of the high levels of travel demand in the area from both pleasure and business travelers, it launched the first-ever direct flight service between Kolhapur and Bengaluru earlier this month. The airline believes that adding this new route, will both expand passenger options and benefit the city’s tourism sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, it will launch a brand-new, unique flight on February 2 between Jaipur (JAI) and Jodhpur (JDH), cutting the previously 4-6-hour car trip down to only one hour. There aren’t any other commercial airlines flying this route right now, therefore IndiGo <\/a>will fly one of its ATR aircraft there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo <\/a>has added 16 more flights to accommodate rising demand before India’s Republic Day. A majority of non-trunk lines, such as Bengaluru-Ahmedabad, Chennai-Ahmedabad, Bengaluru-North Goa, Mumbai-Rajkot, Raipur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Guwahati, Guwahati-Agartala, and Port-Blair-Chennai,<\/strong> would continue to have the extra capacity until January 26th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
