Two flights bound for Raipur in Chhattisgarh were diverted due to visibility amid dense fog conditions blanketing several parts of the country on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indigo and Air India flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Indigo <\/a><\/strong>and Air India<\/a><\/strong> flights bound for Raipur in Chhattisgarh were diverted on Wednesday due to low visibility. As a dense layer of fog blanketed several parts of India, 1 Indigo <\/a>flight en route to Raipur in Chhattisgarh was diverted to Bhubaneshwar while another Air India flight was diverted to Nagpur in Maharashtra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIndigo flight IGO 6687 Ahmedabad-Raipur diverted to Bhubaneswar at 12.37 pm, due to poor visibility at Raipur. Flight AIC 651 Mumbai-Raipur at time 11.53 am diverted to Nagpur in Maharashtra due to poor visibility,\u201d an official told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Air India flight took off from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport <\/a><\/strong>at 9.50 am and was scheduled to land at Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur at 11.30 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was to land at Swami Vivekananda International Airport in Raipur <\/a><\/strong>at 11.30 am. The emergency landing was not permitted here due to the poor climate. Because of this, the Air India flight was diverted to Nagpur in Maharashtra. At present, all the passengers are stranded in Nagpur,\u201d an airport official told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transport operations are being affected in different parts of the country due to dense fog conditions. In major cities, flights are being diverted and trains running so late. Vehicular activity on roads is also witnessing huge jams due to foggy conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
