Several passengers resumed experiencing long waiting hours at the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a flood of complaints on social media from commuters who had to navigate through long queues and huge delays in checking in at\u00a0the Delhi International Airport Limited ( DIAL), Union aviation minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia, along with\u00a0senior ministry officials, today reached the airport for a\u00a0check. In visuals,\u00a0he could be seen interacting with airport authority officials and security personnel.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Union aviation minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia <\/a><\/strong>told he has instructed the authorities to regulate the movement of passengers afresh at the gate where there is more crowd and to deploy “special officers” at every gate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Security checks are another problem. Today, we have given instructions to increase the security from 13 lines to 16 lines. By the end of December 2022, we will try to begin 3 new lines. We have taken this decision together, with all the stakeholders,” he told while speaking to the media at the entrance of the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
