{"id":27964,"date":"2022-11-23T12:44:36","date_gmt":"2022-11-23T07:14:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?p=27964"},"modified":"2022-11-23T12:56:19","modified_gmt":"2022-11-23T07:26:19","slug":"air-indias-four-boeing-747-400-jumbo-jets-will-be-sold-by-a-uk-company-exclusive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/2022\/11\/23\/air-indias-four-boeing-747-400-jumbo-jets-will-be-sold-by-a-uk-company-exclusive\/","title":{"rendered":"Air India&#8217;s four Boeing 747-400 jumbo jets will be sold by a UK company | Exclusive"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\"><strong>Skytech-AIC<\/strong> has been selected by Air India to advertise the sale of four <strong>Boeing 747-400s<\/strong> that were formerly operated by the national carrier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the beginning of the epidemic, the four quad jets were put in storage before being retired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"553\" height=\"223\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/33_1_B747-400.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28287\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/33_1_B747-400.jpg 553w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/33_1_B747-400-300x121.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 553px) 100vw, 553px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p> Notably, one of the 747s served as<strong> &#8220;Air India One,&#8221; <\/strong>the plane used to transport India&#8217;s president and prime minister on important missions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>After more than a year of anticipation, Air India has finally started selling its four Boeing 747-400s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aircraft, which have only been flying for the flag carrier and are still relatively young (between 26 and 30 years old), have a <strong>chance of being picked for conversion to a freighter by interested parties.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">The four 747s, which, according to <strong>Skytech-AIC<\/strong>, are ready for immediate delivery, will be sold outright by the British aircraft services company. <strong>Skytech-AIC Managing Director Julian Balaam<\/strong> stated in a statement,<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are delighted to welcome them as a remarketing client alongside similarly leading airlines such as <strong>Singapore Airlines Group, Kuwait Airways, Air Greenland, <\/strong>and Europe&#8217;s TUI Group,&#8221; said the company.<em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;We are honoured to have been selected by India&#8217;s flag-carrier, Air India, for this important assignment.&#8221; <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/air_india_-f-sixteen_nine-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28194\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/air_india_-f-sixteen_nine-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/air_india_-f-sixteen_nine-600x338.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/air_india_-f-sixteen_nine-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/air_india_-f-sixteen_nine-768x432.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/air_india_-f-sixteen_nine-750x422.jpeg 750w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/air_india_-f-sixteen_nine.jpeg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-will-it-sell\">Will it sell? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you kept up with the news during the epidemic, you would have seen that a lot of Boeing 747s were taken to scrapyards and destroyed.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The majority of the plane is left to disintegrate in the dry environment, with the <strong>exception of expensive elements like the engines and avionics, <\/strong>which are typically recovered.
