Private firm GMR, which will operate the airport, the Goa state government, as well as the Civil Aviation ministry, are all ready to commission the facility, located in North Goa bordering Maharashtra, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant told.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mopa international airport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The inauguration of the Mopa international airport in Pernem taluka will be tentatively commissioned on December 11 but an official announcement would be made after the confirmation is received from the Prime Minister’s Office, stated Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a function at the old Asilo hospital on Thursday in Mapusa, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant told<\/strong>,\u00a0\u00a0\u201cWe are yet to get the confirmation from Prime Minister\u2019s Office over the date of commissioning of the Mopa international airport. <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM Pramod Sawant told that preparations for commissioning the new airport have been going on in full swing.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Mopa airport work has also been going on war footing: facilities for flight arrivals and departures as also for luggage are almost ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
