But it claimed to be unsure about the firetruck&#8217;s presence on the runway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong><em>&#8220;On the flight, there was no reported emergency. We don&#8217;t know what the truck was doing on the runway when the plane hit it, even though it was in perfect circumstances to take off and had permission to do so.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p><cite>The general manager of LATAM Airlines, Peru, Manuel van Oordt.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;We need to look into it and figure out why it was there.&#8221; <\/em><\/strong>The Callao prosecutor&#8217;s office announced that an investigation into the accident&#8217;s cause had been launched.
