Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating Terminal 2 of the Kempegowda International Airport on 11 November.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terminal 2 is designed as a tribute to the Garden city of\u00a0Bengaluru<\/a><\/strong>. It is built at the cost of approximately \u20b95,000 crores. The new terminal with a capacity of 25 lakh and 100 counters was much required as the number of international passengers coming to Bangaluru is huge.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Detailing the uniqueness of the terminal, an official told a garden that has been created will have the saplings of the days of Ramayana and Mahabharatha, it has features for the reuse of water and low consumption of power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides, prime minister Modi<\/a><\/strong> will also unveil 108 feet tall statue of\u00a0Nadaprabhu Kempegowda\u00a0– the founder of Bengaluru city in Devanahali, Bengaluru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kempegowda is known for his major contribution to the development of Bengaluru. He built the city of Bengaluru <\/a><\/strong>and thus the statue has been named the Statue of Prosperity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, the statue would be an inspiration for the development of the State.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

“This statute has been made to strive for the continuous development of the state. The signs of good days for Karnataka are seen in this statue. It would give the confidence of building ‘Nava Bharath ‘ (New Bharat) through ‘Navakarnataka’ (New Karnataka),” Bommai stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
