All 7 people, including 6 pilgrims and 1 pilot, were killed in the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While Kedarnath is a popular pilgrimage where people go to worship Lord Shiva, the location is such that one can&#8217;t go by road to the shrine. As many as 23 people including Air Force personnel were killed in the crashes.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>24th&nbsp;July 2013:<\/strong> The pilot and the co-pilot of a private chopper were killed as it crashed minutes after taking off from flood-hit&nbsp;Kedarnath&nbsp;in&nbsp;Uttarakhand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2018&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211; 3rd&nbsp;April 2018: One person was killed and three others injured when an&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?rlz=1C1CHBD_enIN905IN906&amp;sxsrf=ALiCzsYQSUcKMwcQe08AZv0WFZSR0PoDag:1666094696898&amp;q=Indian+Air+Force+helicopter&amp;spell=1&amp;sa=X&amp;ved=2ahUKEwjBksi03un6AhUbTGwGHQrXAu0QirwEKAB6BAgFEAE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Indian Air Force<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;(IAF) cargo helicopter caught fire while landing in&nbsp;Uttarakhand&#8217;s Kedarnath.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2019&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211; Sept 23rd, 2019: Helicopter&nbsp;crash-lands in Kedarnath, all six passengers safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2022<\/strong>&#8211; after the incident, the relief and rescue teams swung into action.
