There is only one month left until Airbus auctions off 500 Airbus A380 components to benefit the AIRitage organisation and the Airbus Foundation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The majority of the components up for auction came from Emirates’ second Airbus A380, A6-EDB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Numerous travellers and aviation enthusiasts adore the iconic Airbus A380. In the past, there has been intense interest when scrapped aircraft parts have gone on sale, and sold-out signs have appeared quickly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upcoming Airbus auction is probably going to follow the same pattern as the others so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Thursday, October 13 through Saturday, October 15, Airbus will hold a three-day event. Both a live auction in Toulouse and an online auction will be held. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The majority of the components up for bid in the auction came from an Emirates Airbus A380, as evidenced by the lots offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The list contains a variety of aircraft parts. The majority of the components come from A6-EDB, but some also come from other programmes for the Airbus A380.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A6-EDB<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 13th A380 to be produced by Airbus, A6-EDB, made its inaugural flight on April 2, 2008. On October 24 of that year, Emirates received the jet, making it the second to join the Dubai-based airline. Data from ch-aviation.com shows that the aircraft flew for 46,917 hours, or 5,35 years, in the air. The aircraft completed 5,699 flight cycles during this period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 23, 2020, the aircraft’s EK865 passenger flight from Muscat to Dubai International Airport was its last. The shortest Airbus A380 route for Emirates is this one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 27, 2020, the last flight of the aircraft took place. The aircraft arrived at Tarbes, a Tarmac Aerosave facility in the south of France, after a seven-hour flight. By October 2021, the aircraft had been scrapped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final brand-new A380 was delivered to Emirates late last year. The airline was by far the largest A380 customer. Its newest aircraft are anticipated to fly until the middle of the 2030s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven of the airline’s giants, according to sources, may have been taken out of service thus far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
