Air Works<\/strong>, the largest independent MRO and provider of aviation services and solutions in the country, said today that it has been granted Part 145 Approval by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) <\/strong>for the Cochin International Airport’s cutting-edge twin-hangar MRO facility. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

POST EASA CLEARANCE <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After receiving EASA clearance, Air Works <\/strong>will be able to provide complete MPD support for the Airbus 320 series (containing the A318\/ A319\/ A320\/ A321)<\/em> for Base maintenance [up to and including 120-month inspection for all 4 engine options viz. PW1100G, CFM 56, Leap-1A, and IAE V2500]<\/strong>, C-Checks, structural and corrosion inspections, significant repair and modification work for the Airbus 320 aircraft series, as well as end-of-lease transitions, bridging checks, and engine replacements. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. D Anand Bhaskar<\/strong>, Managing Director & CEO of Air Works Group, expressed his excitement at the approval, saying, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Kochi facility’s EASAs 145 clearance was a long-awaited and overdue milestone that would help accelerate domestic maintenance and support the nation’s goal of becoming an MRO hub.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Air Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The twin-hangar MRO facility in Kochi, with a floor area of 50,000 square metres<\/strong>, has been carefully planned and is a fully integrated, independent setup. <\/p>

It houses important workshops outfitted to handle structures, interiors, and composites repairs to support prompt aircraft maintenance & turnaround. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The primary facility of Air Works at Hosur, Tamil Nadu, which also happens to be the country’s first Commercial MRO facility to receive EASA certification, is complemented by Kochi (2009). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosur provides full MPD support for the ATR 42-400\/500\/72-212A and Boeing 737-600\/700\/800 and 900<\/strong><\/em> in addition to the Airbus320 series. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
