Air India did not respond to inquiries.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline industry had been severely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, and in order to manage their finances, the operators turned to cost-cutting measures, including salary reductions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Following the pandemic, the company reduced the flying allowance by 35%, the special pay by 40%, and the wide body allowance by 40%.
