The Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia stated that in 2013-14, the country had only 74 airports, while 67 more were added in just the last 8 years<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Indian civil aviation sector is likely to log approximately 400 million passengers over the next seven to ten years, Union Civil aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia<\/a><\/strong> told on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIndia saw approximately 140 million domestic and 60 million international passengers pre-Covid and with the growth, we should be able to double our passenger traffic in the arriving seven to ten years,\u201d the civil aviation minister Scindia stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noting that India had 400 aircraft in 2013-14<\/strong>, Aviation Minister Scindia told, \u201cNow, India has 700 aircraft,<\/strong> and we are adding a delta of nearly 15% per annum. We should be able to see a 1,012-strong fleet in the arriving 5 years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
