Sandino International Airport<\/strong> will be operated daily with a&nbsp;Boeing 737-800&nbsp;aircraft, with a capacity for 172 passengers in a three-class configuration (16 seats in business class, 24 in main cabin extra, and 132 in cabin major).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;With our long-awaited return to Nicaragua, at American, we are completing our network in Latin America, further strengthening our position as the largest US airline in the region,&#8221;&nbsp;stated Jos\u00e9 A. The return flight will depart from Managua at 13:20, landing in Miami at 16:55. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avianca.com\/en\/about-us\/partnerships-and-benefits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">American Airlines<\/a> Avianca, which has 19 weekly flights between both cities. Spirit Airlines flies to Managua from Fort Lauderdale and has scheduled 4 flights per week. In the first half of 2022, the airline had US$2.7 billion in earnings in this region alone, the second-most important market behind the domestic US (where it earned US$15.18 billion).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By November 2022, when the airline will restore its service to Managua, Nicaragua, American Airlines is preparing to operate 1,007 weekly flights around to the Latin American region. That\u2019s a 54% increase compared to the number of flights (and seats) offered in November 2019, prior to the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Nonetheless, American Airlines still has certain destinations in the region that have not been restored.
