{"id":25729,"date":"2022-08-14T00:22:13","date_gmt":"2022-08-13T18:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?p=25729"},"modified":"2023-04-25T01:10:34","modified_gmt":"2023-04-24T19:40:34","slug":"delta-airlines-boeing-757-collided-with-bombardier-in-boston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/2022\/08\/14\/delta-airlines-boeing-757-collided-with-bombardier-in-boston\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta Airlines Boeing 757 Collided with Bombardier in Boston"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=delta+airlines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Delta Airlines<\/a> Boeing 757 struck with an Endeavor Bombardier CRJ-900, during pushback at Boston-Logan International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200, with registration N717TW, was scheduled to operate flight DL458 Boston-Logan International Airport<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whereas, the Endeavor Air Bombardier CRJ-900LR (operated on behalf of Delta Connection), with registration N137EV, was scheduled to operate flight as flight 5488 from Boston-Logan International Airport to Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Delta&#8217;s Boeing 757 bound to Los Angeles struck the leading edge of the right-hand horizontal stabilizer of the CRJ-900. The trailing edge of the winglet of the Boeing 757 got struck. Both aircraft were parked at a nearby gate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-61.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25730\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-61.png 660w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-61-600x337.png 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-61-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption>Image via Samantha Butler<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the passengers onboard flight 458 shared the photo of the incident on the internet saying:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It was the strangest like we were in rush hour traffic and we had a fender bender. It was so strange.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the airport spokesperson, both aircraft were at gates and as one started to push back, it struck the other aircraft&#8217;s wing. No one was injured in the incident and passengers reached their destinations on replacement aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delta Airlines confirmed that all passengers and crew members deplaned safely and normally.
