Air India said on Thursday that it will add 24 domestic flights beginning August 20. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The additional 24 flights include two new frequencies from Delhi to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, as well as one new frequency on the Mumbai-Bengaluru and Ahmedabad-Pune routes,”<\/strong><\/em> the airline said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Over the past six months, Air India has been working closely with our partners to return aircraft to service, and we are thrilled that this effort is now bearing fruit<\/em><\/strong>“<\/p>said Air India MD and CEO Campbell Wilson<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Air India fleet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Air India has a fleet of 70 narrowbody aircraft, 54 of which are currently operational. The remaining 16 planes will gradually return to service by early 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Announces Independence Day Special Offer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For travellers travelling to India, the national airline of India, Air India, has introduced a special Independence Day deal from all GCC stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers will only need to pay Dh330 for airline tickets from the UAE to Delhi, Mumbai, and other significant Indian destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline offers reasonable one-way rates on all direct flights to any location in India from all Gulf Stations (apart from Oman) as part of the “One India One Fare<\/em><\/strong>” campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The offer is available to passengers between August 8 and August 21, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All tickets purchased during the promotion period are eligible for a 35kg check-in baggage allowance and an 8kg hand luggage allowance for travel through October 15, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UAE contribute 50% to flights operating in the Gulf and 56% to seats sold outside the Gulf, according to Air India regional manager PP Singh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Air India operates 81,000 weekly seats in the Gulf, including Air India Express.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scheme’s limited seats would be made available to passengers on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These discounted rates would be accessible via the official travel agencies as well as the Air India website and mobile app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
