Hungarian<\/a> ultra-low-cost carrier Wizz Air Airbus A321 <\/strong>neo plane suffered hail damage during landing at Catania Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline established in 2003 has a huge fleet of 154 aircraft and 315 on Order. The aircraft involved in this incident is Airbus A321-271NX also known as the A321 neo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wizz Air hail Damage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The incident took place yesterday on the 8th of August<\/strong> during landing at Catania Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to a hail storm<\/strong> at Catania Airport, the Wizz Air aircraft suffered serious damage to its nose structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were intense Thunderstorms, and hail, accompanied by gusty winds at Catania Airport, the hail caused the damage<\/strong> to Wizz air Airbus A321 plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were around 200 Passengers onboard the plane, all are safe and stated,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to bad weather, they have a very unpleasant experience, especially during the last phase of the flight.<\/p>Wizz air passengers statement<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It’s also possible by looking at damage to the plane that it might be caused due to a bird strike but hail strom seems more accurate in such a situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Flight Radar, 24The flight schedule<\/strong> from London Gatwick Airport<\/strong> at 9:55 AM UTC landed on time at Catania airport<\/strong> at 1:04 AM UTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The registration of the aircraft is G-WUKP<\/strong> and is only a 1-year-old aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
