Three passengers died; they were on board. The fire was put out at 2:20 p.m., covering a six-square-meter area, according to the Komi emergency department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An official in charge of emergencies had earlier reported the single-engine plane crash that claimed the lives of three persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cause of the Incident<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The incident was involved in efforts to find wildfires, the emergency department noted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A small private plane crashed in the Komi Republic. The northwest Russian republic of Komi currently has 27 forest fires burning across an area of more than 6,000 hectares, according to the most recent reports from the wildfire control centre there. 366 forest fires have been reported overall this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Political background- Russia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Russian-operated plane was stopped by Sri Lanka in June, preventing it from departing the island nation in South Asia as Western sanctions continue to harm Russia&#8217;s tourism sector. More than 200 people were travelling on board the Airbus A330-343 flight, which was being operated by the Russian government-owned airline Aeroflot.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later, a Sri Lankan court overturned a decision that had barred the detained plane from leaving the nation&#8217;s primary international airport due to a business disagreement.
