Pilots experienced disturbance during the landing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A landing approach, one of the most important phases of a flight, necessitates the pilot in command’s whole focus. Additionally, it is a moment when the likelihood of an aeroplane colliding with a bird or other flying item is extremely high.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 7th, a kite hit the windscreen of a SpiceJet Dash 8-Q400 aircraft as it was making its final approach to Kolkata, briefly frightening the crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pilots noticed kites in the sky as the aircraft descended quickly near Kolkata Airport. A kite hit the windshield as the captain informed air traffic control of the emergency, briefly disorienting the pilots at such a critical time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following landing, the pilots informed the Airports Authority of India (AAI) of the event, which was then reported to the police.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kite flying is prohibited within and around the airport, particularly along the path travelled by aircraft as they make their final approach to the runway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aviation Ministry to take action against the incident<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Investigations into the most recent occurrence are ongoing, and the competent authorities have not yet taken any appropriate action. The civil aviation ministry of India urged police action against anyone who shines a laser light on an aircraft from the vicinity of any Indian airport last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry requested changes to the 1937 Aircraft Rules, asking that if the user of the laser light is found, he or she be given a notice by a Central government official first. Indian law requires that the person be subject to suitable punishment if the lights are left on even after 24 hours of receiving the warning.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, the kite involved in the most recent incident was being flown around the BT College field in nearby New Barrackpore. Hopefully, the authorities will pay attention and devise appropriate rules to stop this from occurring again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Windshield Cracks On SpiceJet Flight<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On 5, July After experiencing an outside windshield break mid-flight, a SpiceJet aircraft departing from Kandla in Gujarat made a priority landing in Mumbai.
The outer pane of the windshield fractured when the SpiceJet flight from Kandla to Mumbai was at a height of 23,000 feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The P2 side windscreen outer pane fractured while the ship was reaching FL230. Actions from the associated non-standard checklist were completed. It was noted that pressurisation was typical. At BOM (Bombay), a priority landing was performed and an aircraft safely landed.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
