{"id":24856,"date":"2022-08-02T15:49:10","date_gmt":"2022-08-02T10:19:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?p=24856"},"modified":"2022-08-02T18:31:31","modified_gmt":"2022-08-02T13:01:31","slug":"govt-of-india-signs-an-agreement-with-116-countries-to-bring-down-airfares","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/2022\/08\/02\/govt-of-india-signs-an-agreement-with-116-countries-to-bring-down-airfares\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt of India signs an agreement with 116 countries, to bring down airfares"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Govt signs a bilateral air service agreement with 116 countries to benefit passengers and bring down airfares<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>To raise and expand connectivity between India and nations around the world, the Indian government has activated bilateral air service agreements with 116 countries and is allowing foreign carriers to serve India to add more flights to the country&#8217;s metropolitan cities.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister of State for <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/V._K._Singh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Civil Aviation Gen VK Singh<\/a> (retd) told the Parliament in a written reply saying that India has signed a bilateral Air Services Agreement (ASA) with 116 foreign countries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-air-services-agreement\">Air Services Agreement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Any designated foreign airline can operate to\/from a point in India if it is designated as a point of call in the bilateral Air Services Agreement (ASA) signed between India and the country which has designated the airline,&#8221; he said.
