I<\/strong>f all goes according to plan, the business anticipates commercial certification by the end of 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"430\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/ePlane-Air-Taxi.jpg\" alt=\"Indian startup ePlane Company to launch a flying taxi by 2023\" class=\"wp-image-23278\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/ePlane-Air-Taxi.jpg 750w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/ePlane-Air-Taxi-600x344.jpg 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/ePlane-Air-Taxi-300x172.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong><em>&#8220;We are developing the full-scale prototype, the ePlane e200, and aim to have the e200 cargo variant built towards the end of 2022 and undergo the certification process through the following year, with a target of having it ready for commercial deployment around late 2023&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p><cite>according to CTO and co-founder Satya Chakravarty<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The air taxi developed by The ePlane Company might accelerate cargo and passenger transit up to ten times more than current models. <\/strong>Up to 2024, the passenger version is anticipated to go through more demanding certification testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Chakravarty, <strong><em>the eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) vehicle made by his company is among the most small ones being developed globally, which could ease India&#8217;s traffic issues.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong><em>&#8220;We&#8217;re concentrating on making the ePlane one of the world&#8217;s most compact eVTOLs, catering to the mid-mile and last-mile urban air mobility market sectors, hence reducing traffic congestion in cities&#8221; <\/em><\/strong><\/p><cite>he said<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/img_186141_gettyimages-1240941175-bg-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/img_186141_gettyimages-1240941175-bg-1.jpg 900w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/img_186141_gettyimages-1240941175-bg-1-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/img_186141_gettyimages-1240941175-bg-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/img_186141_gettyimages-1240941175-bg-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/img_186141_gettyimages-1240941175-bg-1-750x500.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The business secured $5 million in a pre-Series A investment earlier this year.
