It will complement its connectivity to&nbsp;Mexico\u2019s biggest city, now served formulas\/Fort Worth, Miami, Phoenix, Charlotte, and Los Angeles.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mexico-city-international-airport-nbsp\">Mexico City International Airport&nbsp; <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting on November 4, American Airlines will begin a new daily route from<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mexico_City_International_Airport\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">&nbsp;Mexico City International Airport<\/a>&nbsp;(MEX) to&nbsp;New York JFK Airport&nbsp;(JFK). PrioBeforenching this route, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aa.com\/homePage.do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">American Airlines <\/a>will cease its daily service from JFK to&nbsp;Bogot\u00e1 El Dorado International Airport&nbsp;(BOG) on November 3. That month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aa.com\/homePage.do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">American <\/a>will also end its services to Cali (CLO) and Medellin (MDE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Regarding the new route to Mexico City, Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Giraldo, American\u2019s managing director for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, stated,<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThere is no better way to celebrate 80 years of service to Mexico City than with a new route to New York City, one of the most famous destinations in the US and an important hub for AmerAmericansr commitment to Mexico is steadfast, and we are proud to see our operations resume to develop, offering more connectivity and travel options for customers.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-american-airlines\">American Airlines <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aa.com\/homePage.do\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">American Airlines<\/a> is the main United states carrier working in Mexico. According to data provided by the Mexican government, American Airlines dominates 21.1% of the market share between these two countries, the most among the 13 airlines with commercial services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this new route, starting in November, American will offer up to 14 daily flights from Mexico City to six US destinations, including Dallas\/Fort Worth (DFW), Miami (MIA), Phoenix (PHX), Charlotte (CLT), Los Angeles (LAX) and New York (JFK).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June, America America ounce a new service between Monterrey (MTY) and JFK, which will also launch in November. With these routes, American Airlines will connect JFK to four destinations in Mexico, Cancun (CUN), MEX, MTY, and San Jose del Cabo (SJD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US-based carriers heavily dominate the market between Mexico and the United States. According to the latest data, in May, the four Mexican airlines flying to the US held about 25% of the market share in traveler transportation.
