SpiceJet<\/strong>, which was already under fire from regulators for a spate of flaws, discovered another technical fault, purportedly on a flight to Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plane, an eight-year-old Boeing 737 next generation jet<\/strong>, had flown from India to Dubai on Monday and was discovered to have a nose wheel problem after landing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was not life-threatening, and all passengers and crew departed safely.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

SpiceJet, on the other hand, has denied any incident or safety scare and blamed the ensuing delay out of Dubai on a last-minute technical glitch.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A last-minute technical issue caused SpiceJet flight SG23, which flew from Dubai to Madurai, to be delayed on July 11, according to the airline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A different aircraft has been arranged to fly the route, which will leave Dubai at 6:35 p.m. local time. Any airline may have delays in a flight. On this flight, there have been no incidents or safety concerns.”<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The report was not immediately reacted to by India’s aviation ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SpiceJet is under increasing pressure after the DGCA<\/em> gave the airline three weeks earlier this month to justify why no action<\/strong> should be taken against it following a string of other incidents, including one in which a Boeing 737 Max plane was diverted to Karachi because an indicator light malfunctioned.<\/strong><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
According to a poll of more than 21,000 travellers by LocalCircle, the flaws have caused some travellers to steer clear of the cash-strapped airline.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
 SpiceJet responded to the poll by claiming that its flights are “totally safe”<\/strong> and that the wellbeing of our customers, employees, and aircraft is our first priority.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
