Now, after more than two years, international travel is resurgent, and people are returning to flying at a rate never seen in our industry.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Rousseau said those factors are causing &#8220;unprecedented and unforeseen strains on all parts of the global aviation system,&#8221; leading to flight delays and crowded airport spaces. It&#8217;s&nbsp;also spurring the airline to make &#8220;meaningful reductions&#8221; to its summer schedule &#8220;to reduce passenger volumes and flows to a level we believe the air transport system can&nbsp;accommodate,&#8221; he&nbsp;told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-air-canada-was-operating-about-1-000-flights-per-day\">Air Canada was operating about 1,000 flights per day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Before these reductions, Air Canada&nbsp;was operating about 1,000 flights per day, said&nbsp;Peter Fitzpatrick, an airline spokesperson.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Three routes will be temporarily stopped between Montreal and Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Kelowna, and one from Toronto to Fort McMurray,&#8221; Fitzpatrick told.
