This new generation aircraft will support the airline\u2019s sustainability program. Aer Lingus, as part of IAG, has pledged to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and has committed to powering 10&nbsp;percent&nbsp;of its flights operating sustainable aviation fuel by 2030.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-aer-lingus\"><strong>Aer Lingus <\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The agreement was signed with CDB Aviation, a wholly-owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co. Limited (\u2018CDB Leasing\u2019), and will see the new generation A320neo join <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerlingus.com\/html\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Aer Lingus<\/a>\u2019 fleet for the very first time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/EI-1024x531.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21852\" width=\"1033\" height=\"536\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/EI-1024x531.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/EI-600x311.jpg 600w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/EI-300x156.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/EI-768x398.jpg 768w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/EI-750x389.jpg 750w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/EI-1140x591.jpg 1140w, https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/EI.jpg 1168w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1033px) 100vw, 1033px\" \/><figcaption><strong> Aer Lingus   | Aviationa2z.com<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They will replace 2 previous generations of Airbus A320ceos, which will be retired from the fleet. The new A320neos are expected to enter into service towards the end of July 2022. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airbus.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Airbus <\/a>A320neo delivers up to a 20&nbsp;percent&nbsp;reduction in fuel burn and CO2 emissions and near to a 50&nbsp;percent&nbsp;reduction in noise footprint when compared to the previous generation A320ceo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>There is a greater density of seats on the A320neo aircraft, 186 versus 174 on the previous generation A320neo, resulting in lower fuel emissions per seat\/passenger on board.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The new aircraft will be delivered in complete <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerlingus.com\/html\/home.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Aer Lingus<\/a> livery, branding, and cabin interior and will complete the airline\u2019s A321neo LR aircraft, eight of which have been said to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerlingus.com\/html\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Aer Lingus<\/a> transatlantic fleet in current years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-london-heathrow-and-dublin\">London Heathrow and Dublin <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The two new A320neo aircraft will join the Aer Lingus fleet for short-haul operations and will predominantly operate between London Heathrow and Dublin.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lynne Embleton, Aer Lingus CEO, said: \u201cThis is a great opportunity to bring new, state-of-the-art aircraft into our short-haul fleet.
