Some of the airline\u2019s destinations within the Airbus A220\u2019s range are unlikely to see the aircraft due to the size of the market and slot constraints \u2013\u00a0Amsterdam Schiphol, London Heathrow, and Paris Charles de Gaulle being prime examples that\u00a0regularly see Turkish Airlines widebody aircraft\u00a0despite the relatively short route distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once a Business Class cabin has been established and taking into account the airline\u2019s above-average seat pitch in Economy Class, the final passenger capacity of a Turkish Airlines Airbus A220 is possible to be lower than 160. This means that the smaller, regional aircraft will also allow the carrier to look at new routes that would be too thin for its larger Airbus A320 family and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.boeing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Boeing <\/a>737\u00a0aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"turkish-airlines-rsquo-existing-fleet\">Turkish Airlines\u2019 existing sizeable fleet <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Any new aircraft will join Turkish Airlines\u2019 existing sizeable fleet, now made up of 354 passenger aircraft and 20 cargo aircraft. The carrier also has a further 90 passenger aircraft on order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, the smallest aircraft in the airline\u2019s fleet is the\u00a0Airbus A319, which carries 126 passengers in a two-class configuration \u2013 12 in Business Class and 114 in Economy Class.
