According to a source close to the situation, Air India plans to expand its fleet by more than 200 jets<\/strong> over the next five years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There isn’t any more time. The airline needs to expand quickly. “It’s stepping on the gas,”<\/em><\/strong> the aforementioned source explained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also stated that narrowbody planes will account for 70% of the orders, while widebody planes would account for 30%. <\/em><\/pre>\n\n\n\n
“We’re in discussions with both Airbus and Boeing.”<\/p>

The airline is thought to be considering placing an order for the A350 wide-body planes <\/strong>from the European business. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
