The Airbus A321XLR<\/strong>, the European manufacturer’s newest aircraft, has taken to the skies for the first time. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plane took off from Hamburg Finkenwerder Airport<\/strong> at 10:04 UTC on June 15, 2022. (XFW). According to Flightradar24 data, it flew southwest for a while before heading towards the North Sea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aeroplane is the newest member of the Airbus A320 family and the company’s newest model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is expected to become the world’s longest-range narrow-body aircraft, with a range of up to 4,700 nautical miles<\/em> (8,700 kilometres) and a capacity of up to 220 passengers, based on the Airbus A321neo<\/strong>. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Following its premiere in 2019, the aircraft was a huge success, with over 450 orders placed in the first year alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The A321XLR<\/strong> has been hailed as a new take on the middle-of-the-market airliner, with the potential to replace the completely outmoded Boeing 757 <\/strong>while also allowing airlines to fly transatlantic routes on a narrow-body aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
